Nord-Ovest & Western Tour In Iran

I took the northern part of this tour (up to Hamedan) in 2016 and had a really good time there. Although the north-western part of the country may not be what comes to mind first to most foreign visitors to Iran, it offers actually a great variety of lively and colorful cities, friendly people that are quite open to travellers, impressive sites (including UNESCO sites), and a varied hilly landscape. Our guide Hamid did a great job of showing us not just the well known attractions, but also some interesting spots and restaurants that you would not find in a guide book (as he was from that region). He was also very knowledgeable on the backgrounds and went to great lengths to find the answers to any question we had. I especially liked Kandovan and Takht-e Soleiman (not seen anything like these two sites before) and the city of Tabriz. In summary, I can definitely recommend this tour.
